We are proud to announce that Salman Alshehri, a Grade 12 student at Al Rowad International School, secured First Place in the Human Health Track at the 2025 National Olympiad for Scientific Research, earning international qualification. In addition, he was awarded the prestigious “Ibdaa Star” Award as Saudi Arabia’s top student in the competition. This remarkable achievement reflects Salman’s dedication, hard work, and passion for scientific research.

Youssef Kusibati: Youngest Speaker at LEAP 2025

Youssef Kusibati, a senior at Al Rowad International School, has made history as the youngest speaker at LEAP 2025. He spoke about the unprecedented opportunities for youth to shape technology that serves everyone, inspiring young innovators to take action on their ideas. He shared his journey with 21Verse, a VR platform designed to empower individuals with Down syndrome, showcasing how technology can drive meaningful change.

We were honored to welcome Abdulrahman Aljabiri from Mahmiyah Royal Reserve, who educated our CCP students about the science of planting. Students had the opportunity to plant seedlings and small trees around the school, fostering a hands-on understanding of environmental conservation.

Ramadan Campaign: Faith, Creativity & Community

The Ramadan Campaign at the Girls’ Section (Grades 7-12), organized by the ISE Department, was a meaningful celebration of faith and unity. Students participated in:
📖 Ramadan Recitation Challenge – Tracking their progress on a Recitation Board as they worked toward completing their Khatmah.
🤲 Fasting Reflections – Engaging discussions on the virtues of fasting, patience, and gratitude.
🎨 Door Decoration Competition – Transforming classroom doors into beautiful Ramadan-themed displays.
This campaign brought students together in spiritual growth, creativity, and community spirit.

Exciting CS & Math Activities: Competitions, Festivals & More!
|
Our students have been actively engaged in Computer Science and Mathematics with enriching activities and competitions. On Safer Internet Day (Feb 11, 2025), students from Year 4 to Year 12 explored online safety and participated in a poster competition. We also introduced the iDEA Digital Awards, with students already earning their Bronze Certificates.
The Girls’ School hosted a CS & Math Festival, while the Lower Grade Boys’ School continues the Mental Math Competition. Middle Grade Boys will soon compete in the Mathematics Jigsaw Puzzle Competition and Math Olympiad.

Spelling Bee Showdown: A Battle of Words

The final round of the Annual School Spelling Bee had everyone on the edge of their seats. Contestants showcased their spelling skills, tackling increasingly difficult words with confidence and determination.

Spreading Awareness on World Cancer Day

In honor of World Cancer Day (February 4th), students from Grades 4-6 (Girls’ Section) led a meaningful awareness program during the morning assembly. They shared important information about cancer prevention, early detection, and spiritual well-being through Ruqyah and the Tahseen Dua.
To further spread awareness, students distributed informative brochures and cards with key messages on cancer prevention. Their efforts fostered a sense of solidarity and education within the school community.

Victory for Our School Football Teams

We are proud to announce that our Grade 5 and Grade 7 football teams secured impressive victories in recent local competitions against Tawas School and Olaya School. Both teams demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination on the field.
The Grade 5 team impressed with their coordination and sportsmanship with football, while the Grade 7 team displayed remarkable strategy and resilience. A huge congratulations to our players, coaches, and supporters for their hard work and dedication.

Over 20 students from various grades represented Al-Rowad, showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork, and dedication.
